Pedestrian Critical After South Jersey Crash: Police

A pedestrian was in critical condition after a crash in Gloucester Township, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 11 p.m. on Monday, March 11. at the intersection of Blackwood Clementon Road and Kelly Drivers Lane, according to Gloucester Township police.

The pedestrian was found in the roadway unconscious and suffering from serious bodily injuries, police said. 

The driver remained at the crash scene and was not injured, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Cooper Hospital, Trauma Unit, in Camden by Inspira ambulance.

Blackwood Clementon Road was closed for several hours during the initial stages of the investigation. The investigation is being conducted by the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team (SCIT). 

The Gloucester Township Fire Department, as well as Inspira medical services, assisted at the crash scene.
